Public:Email Server Info:Why can't I send from my iPhone/iPad

This is the second most often asked question I get regarding email. The short answer is that the iPhone/iPad say "Optional" on fields that "May Be Required". In fact, for 95% of all email accounts, those "Optional" fields are actually required.
The fields that are required (but most likely left blank on your device) are the outgoing username and password.
How to Configure your Outgoing Username and Password on an iPhone
- Go to your "Settings" App
- Go to "Mail, Contact, Calendars"
- Choose the account that is not working
- Under Outgoing mail server tap "SMTP"
- Enter your username (This is your full email address. eg. bob@somewhere.com)
- Enter your password
- Leave SSL off
- Set Authentication to Password
- Leave Port set to 25
- Tap Done
That's it, now you can send email!
