Vacation or Away messages can easily be set within the webmail system. It is important that they are set up through the webmail system so that the CyVon mail server is replying to your email and not your email client on your computer. To set up the vacation message do the following:
- Go to webmail.cyvon.com
- Log in with your email address as the username and your email password (This is most likly NOT your windows password.)
- Click the "Settings" link in the upper right-hand corner
- Click the "Vacation" Section on the left-hand menu
- Enter the subject and body of the message you want sent when someone emails you.
- Do not enter anything for Vacation Time
- Change Status to "On"
- Click "Save"
Now when someone sends you an email they will receive your vacation message a maximum of once per day. For instance, if someone sends you 5 messages today, they will get the vacation message once after the server receives the first message (they will get no response to the other 4.) If they then send you another message tomorrow, they will receive the vacation message again.
Don't forget to turn status to OFF when you get back from vacation.
